New Suit
The first warm day, the air is clean.
I was to long curled within, sun nibbles willing skin.
I dip my toe, that’s as far as I will go.
Nothing is getting wet. The suit I bought to match the lot, will wait till it is hot.
I smile as the children play, enticing me to join the fray.
From chattering teeth they shout ‘COME IN’, but it’s a bit too cold to swim.
This is one of the “sketches of spring” I will be attempting to make one a day, enjoy and share.
