I have been thinking about this costume for a while now. I went through some sketchbooks for inspiration and found this idea popping up over and over again.

I’ve been sketching this costume for a while, it or iterations of it are scattered though out several sketchbooks. I’m going to attempt to build a cardboard version of the Kukeri costume, a Bulgarian fur suit costume, used in the harvest festival to frighten away bad spirits.

I’m adding a spine element to the tall head section. A few pulleys and strings will help the neck/head move naturally, controls will be attached to my head. Turns and tilts of my head will be reflected by the costume tall head.
